At Ginnie & Co., we believe pets aren’t just animals — they’re family.
We’re a locally owned dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in house sitting service proudly serving our coastal community. Our mission is simple: to give your pets — and your home — the same dependable care and respect we give our own.
Whether it’s a quick potty break, a long walk, a play-focused visit, or a drop-in house check while you’re away, we show up with reliability, kindness, and attention to detail. During house sitting visits, we can bring in mail and packages, water plants, rotate lights and blinds, take trash bins in and out, and make sure everything looks lived-in and secure.
We keep pets cared for, homes protected, and communication clear — so you can relax knowing everything is handled.
We intentionally keep our services personal and attentive. That means your pets and your home receive the consistent, thoughtful care they deserve.

Before services begin, we schedule a complimentary Meet & Greet so we can get to know you and your pet. This visits gives your pet a chance to meet us and feel comfortable before their walk or visit.
We’ll talk through your dog’s routine, personality, training cues, favorite activities and any special care instructions. We’ll also review feeding schedules, walking preference, and home access details so everything runs smoothly.
Our goal is simple — to care for your dog in a way that keeps their routine familiar and feels like a trusted neighbor stopping by to help.

Potty, Care, and Play
Our Drop-In Visits are perfect for pets who need a quick break, some attention, a brief outing on leash to potty if needed and a little playtime while you are away. They are also perfect for those breaks in between walks, giving your dog a chance to stretch their legs, get a potty break and enjoy a friendly visit.
During the visit, we’ll let your dog out for a potty break, make sure they have fresh water, and spend time giving them the care and companionship they need.
If needed, we can also provide feeding, administer simple medications, and tidy up any pet-related messes.
Care. Litter. Play.
Our cat drop-in visits are designed to keep your feline comfortable and cared for while you’re away. During each visit, we’ll refresh food and water, scoop litter boxes, and make sure your cat is safe, happy, and relaxed in their home environment.
We also spend time giving your cat attention based on their personality—whether that’s playtime, brushing, or simply quiet companionship. Medications can be given if needed, and we’ll always send an update so you know how your cat is doing.

Special Requests
Every home and every pet is a little different, and I’m always happy to help when I can. If you have a special request—like medication administration, extra plant care, bringing in trash bins, or another small household task—just let me know. I’ll do my best to accommodate whenever possible.
Some special requests may require additional time and may include a small added fee, which will always be discussed in advance.

I’ll stop by to check on your home and keep things running smoothly. During each visit I can bring in mail and packages, water plants, rotate lights or blinds, and do a quick check to make sure everything looks safe and secure.
You’ll receive an update after each visit so you can relax knowing your home is being looked after while you’re away.
Meet Ginnie
Hi, I’m Ginnie —the heart behind Ginnie and Co.
Before moving to Leland, NC, I owned and operated a positive reinforcement dog training and pet sitting business, helping families build strong, happy relationships with their dogs. My approach was rooted in kindness, consistency and understanding how dogs learn. Taking all the training and experience I have learned, I will be using this information to care for pets so they feel safe, encouraged and rewarded—for both pets and their people.
I am Pet First Aid & CPR Certified, so your pets are not only loved but cared for with safety and awareness at the forefront.
In addition to my time working with dogs, I bring over 25 years of experience as a nurse. That background means I’m calm under pressure, detail - oriented and deeply responsible when it comes to the well-being of those in my care—whether they have two legs or four.
I’m also a runner, so if your dog needs a little extra energy burned off, I’m happy to lace up and go. From enrichment walks to playful drop-ins to relaxed companionship for senior pets, I tailor each visit to your pet’s personality and needs.
As your local, trustworthy, fun neighbor, my goal is simple: when your away, you can relax knowing your pets are safe, loved and genuinely cared for.
